Hoffman's Commercial Exterminating team recently provided J&J Snack Foods with service as a part of our food & safety defense IPM program. Our contact Michael the Director of Sanitation for J&J Snack Foods reached out to our team with some concerns in their food & safety defense IPM program plan. Michael knew that the facilities were already pest free but wanted to be extra cautious to prevent anything from happening in the future. Having a pest problem in a food manufacturing plant can be catastrophic for production, so Michael wanted to take any and every step possible to ensure that pests would never be a problem. Our team of pest control experts met with Michael and addressed all of his concerns by implementing more aggressive measures in our IPM plan. We equipped J&J Snack Foods with technology for monitoring, heat mapping, pest control for stored products. To finish out our reinforcement of this pest prevention we did a full facility assessment to make sure that not even the smallest pest could get inside this manufacturing area. We also taught Michael how to work all of the newly implemented systems for optimal surveillance of the facility.
